Description

Playing the ukulele has never been easier: Let’s Play Ukulele is both a ukulele tutorial and a songbook in one. It includes 40 pop and rock songs that any beginner can quickly learn, even without any prior experience. The songs are organized by difficulty and adapt to your skill level. Short learning units between the songs expand your knowledge and explain the most important techniques of ukulele playing.

Beginners learn the most important basic techniques in just 7 steps and 10 introductory songs. These are demonstrated and played exactly in the online videos. Advanced players can use the book as a songbook and learn special techniques such as fingerpicking, slap, flamenco roll, palm mute, and much more.

The two included CDs contain all the exercises and songs and were elaborately produced specifically for this book with ukulele accompaniment and vocals. This allows you to practice and play along immediately. You’ll learn most songs in their original key. Let’s Play Ukulele is ideal for self-study, lessons, or as a songbook.

In addition to “Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole — the quintessential ukulele classic — and pop songs like “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, you’ll find great rock classics by the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, Johnny Cash, and many more. Songs like “Born To Be Wild” or “Summer Of 69” prove that you can play real rock riffs on the ukulele. So you’ll not only learn to play the ukulele, but you’ll also have a great and varied repertoire right from the start that’s a lot of fun to play and listen to. That’s what the ukulele is all about!

Description

The guitarist is introduced to new approaches, concepts, and techniques across a wide variety of musical styles.

What makes this unique is that everything is linked to the same basic material — that is, the same chord progression — and therefore promises a high level of learning success. This approach clearly demonstrates the many different ways a series of chords can be played.

In addition to numerous electric guitar song examples, acoustic songs are also included. These songs represent 10 of the most popular genres. They are divided into different chapters and use typical rhythm guitar phrases, which are easier to implement thanks to detailed explanations.

The audio CD included with the book contains not only the example tracks with guitar but also backing tracks (without guitar) that can be heard in two different tempos and are a wonderful aid.

Important: All chapters can be worked through completely independently of one another, as they are not written as a continuous narrative.
